Time For Tenet - TikTok Challenge
To promote Christopher Nolan’s new movie that was reopening theaters worldwide, we launched a tidal wave of time-bending buzz on TikTok.
The campaign ricocheted around the world, amassing 9 billion views.
BRAND CHALLENGE
With theaters reopening after a long shutdown, Warner Bros. wanted to be sure to engage a broad audience. They challenged Movers+Shakers to design a TikTok challenge that amplified the mind-bending nature of Christopher Nolan’s film.
CREATIVE SOLUTION
We invited TikTokers to play with time, just like the Protagonist does in the movie. Now everyone could become a Nolan-style filmmaker, right from the TikTok app.
Mirroring the international rollout of the movie, the #TimeforTENET TikTok campaign launched first in Italy and then spread through Europe, Asia and the Americas. TikTokers moved in reverse and shared their creativity, contributing over a million user generated videos.
