Nerf wanted to launch the first-ever TikTok channel for any Hasbro brand - and Movers+Shakers did it with a splash! Within a week, the channel went from zero to 42K followers!
Today, Nerf continues to innovate on TikTok, growing a strong and loyal following, with an entertainment-first approach.
BRAND CHALLENGE
To reach the next generation of Nerf fans, Nerf wanted to raise brand awareness among Gen-Z audiences and knew TikTok was a place they needed to be. They came to Movers+Shakers to launch a TikTok channel that was authentic and highly-engaging. This would be the first official TikTok channel across Hasbro’s brand portfolio.
CREATIVE SOLUTION
Nerf and Movers+Shakers launched the Nerf TikTok channel with an innovative campaign: a search for a Chief TikTok Officer who would become a face of the channel. The channel’s following quickly went from 0 to 42,000 in one week, and that was just the beginning.
Nerf worked with Movers+Shakers to continue the fast growth, taking an entertainment-first approach, including frequent participation in TikTok trends, and utilizing a diverse mix of creators to reach different audience niches.
Together, Nerf and Movers+Shakers have launched innovative formats, like the Nerf Hyper Tourney - a TikTok-based Nerf tournament! Sophie, the Chief TikTok officer, has also been a key player in creating engaging content and connecting with fans.
Channel growth has outperformed the competition, passing 460K followers as of October 2021.
